Hello LouVo, I am glad to hear you loved the flavor. Sorry for the confusion but yes, the shredded apple shouldnt be drained of its juices. That’s the moisture of the cake for sure 🙂

Very apple-ly. But unfortunately the texture was dry. I wondered, while I was working on it, if we were supposed to drain the shredded apples or not. I opted to drain, thinking the batter might be too runny. In retrospect, I should have added all the apple fluid after shredding. Could definitely have used more moisture. It would be great to get clarification on that part of the instruction.
