In reply to Tamar. Hi Tamar, yes you can use any kind of chocolate. I just happened to use dark chocolate for this time but have used other kinds of chocolate in the past. You could also skip the cocoa powder and use white chocolate.

I made this recipe with a vanilla cake a few months ago, and it was a huge hit! Do you know how I could adapt the pudding recipe so that the chocolate isn’t as dark (for someone who doesn’t like darker chocolate)? Could I use some milk chocolate? Thanks for any advice!

In reply to Dee mee. Hi Dee Mee, I haven't covered this cake with fondant and have no experience with the result. That being said, I do not think the pudding will be impacted if you do cover the cake with fondant.
