The feeling of awe after a Gordon is nice, to me it provides that extra energy and focus to work once it’s over. The last one I went to (last year) ended up with us submitting an article to a huge journal, and it was accepted just a couple of weeks ago. If we had not met the editor there and talked to her, we would probably not have submitted to that journal, thinking our subject would not have much chance in that venue.

ok, I digress… this cake is amazing, I love matcha, color and taste – if I was not such a cake baking wimp, I would go for it. But genoise in particular caused me incredible grievance in the past. I am very afraid of it. Very afraid.
