Can you picture doing this as a churned ice cream - just not whipping the cream, and then swirling in the caramel and toffee bits at the last minute?

I make dulce de leche often, using sweetened condensed milk. Straight from the can it is not really salty. Does the purchased kind have more of a salted caramel flavor? Is the one you used perhaps made from goat’s milk (something I’ve heard of but never purchased)? I could certainly add some salt, but I’m just curious. ]]></description>
