In reply to Jodie.

Hi Jodie, it should be baked for one hour. The "minutes' is a typo and has been corrected. Hope you like the recipe. Thanks!

In reply to Marcia Feeney.

Hi Marcia, I am so happy to hear you will be brave to do this! Making cheesecake is easy and always comes out tasting great, even if it cracks or you get a soggy crust until you get the hang of it. I am not sure the size of your springform pan (I assume 9-inch) but I would use any larger pan than the springform pan. I've used in the past a large cast-iron skillet, a large 9x13 baking pan that has higher sides. All you need is a larger pan than the springform pan that can hold water about 1/4 inch to 1/2 way up the side of the pan.

I am not a baker well I rarely bake. and when I do I usually make something from a box, brownies, cakes etc. I have been studying this recipe for a few days trying to decide if I am brave enough to give it a try. I think have a springform pan. that is if my husband did not get rid of it. Anything that sits still too long is usually given away or donated to charity. So I resort to buying a replacement. Any way my question is about the pan you use for the hot water bath. What do you use please be specific remember I am a novice. Thanks for your assistance.
