I know this is coming very late, but I want to second the use of digestive biscuits as a substitute...just pop several of them in the food processor until you make fine crumbs! I went to graduate school in the UK and used them when I needed to make a graham cracker crust for cheesecakes. I would also throw in a pinch or two of cinnamon and about a tablespoon of sugar, but you don't need to do that for this recipe.

Made this today and loved it! Got rave reviews from the family, too. Only thing I did different was use a naval orange because blood oranges are not in season so can't find them anywhere. I also got distracted and made the mistake of over-processing the crust to the point where the oil started to come out of the pecans and I was on the verge of making pecan butter! Subsequently, it became a bit too oily and so I was having a really hard time getting it to stick 1-inch up the sides. But i fixed this by blotting it a bit and popping it in the fridge for about 10 minutes so it would be firmer and could now be molded to form 1-inch walls. Once baked, it came out totally fine! I was a bit over eager to eat it and so I tried it at exactly the 4 hour mark, but it was not quite cool/settled enough (yet still delicious). I would recommend waiting more like 8 hours or overnight for that perfect texture. Thanks for the great recipe!
