Chocolate Truffles {Holiday Classics}
Chocolate truffles are decadent, creamy and indulgent. They are a homemade classic holiday treat, and you won’t be able to stop at one. Trust me!
Are you still scrambling to finish your holiday shopping?? Hurry up!!! No more time for monkey business. I’m one of those late shoppers too, because I didn’t start till this Friday and I finished today after two days of power shopping. I did fall short on one or two things that made me sad and wished I gave myself more time or thought of the ideas sooner but otherwise I did well. Got everyone crossed off the list and cookies sent. Now it’s time to relax and focus on the true meaning of the holiday season! For me that is enjoying family time, counting my blessings instead of sheep and reflecting on the past year.
As you assemble your last minute holiday cookie exchange boxes or your dessert spread, I am throwing in a last holiday classic recipe to the mix.
These chocolate truffles are very easy to whip up, take less than 20 minutes to prep and are very festive after decorating.
This recipe is very versatile and you can easily customize it to make it your own. I made these with a mix of my favorite chocolates; milk and dark chocolate. Added a little bourbon for some added kick and dressed them up with festive sprinkles and cocoa powder. You can use your favorite chocolate, flavor with whatever you like (rum, peppermint extract, orange liqueur) and dress up in holiday sprinkles, chopped nuts, crushed candy canes etc. You get the point, the sky is the limit here!
Regardless of your combination, you get a creamy, decadent and addicting dessert!
I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!! Enjoy your time with family and loved ones. I’ll be unplugged from the blog to spend time with my family and relax. I’ll see you all in a week with a new recipe.
Enjoy the chocolate truffles recipe!
