New Year, New You: Fashion Resolutions for the New Year {Part Three}
This is the final part to our fashion resolutions. After being BOLD and CREATIVE with our fashion choices this year, our final resolution is to be a BOSS LADY. Do you see a theme here? This is the year to be in charge of our wardrobe and choose how to express ourself. Fashion is a powerful way to feel fierce and be in charge in our day to day lives.
Here are some tips to bring out your own power lady.
- Try a structured jacket. Jackets are a great way to create clean and soft lines in your wardrobe. They are not only for work.
( Left: H&M Crêpe Jacket; Right: ASOS Linen Tailored Blazer)
- Another great way to be a boss lady is to wear a smart skirt. Every woman looks good in a pencil skirt. And you can play around with the colors, textures, and lengths (remember be BOLD).
(Top: Target Women’s Pencil Skirt; Bottom Left: Faux Leather Midi pencil skirt; Bottom Middle: Calliope Printed Pencil Skirt; Bottom Right: Loft Stretch Pencil Skirt)
- And finally for my absolute favorite: Class up your feet!! A classic black heel, neutral round toe, and one just for fun are always great options to have in your wardrobe
(Top:ASOS PREMIERE Pointed High Heels; Middle: CARESS ROUND TOE HIGH HEELS; Bottom: Aldo Olauviel)
That’s it for our three-part series on the New Year, New You! I hope these three resolutions will inspire you to be creative, bold and have fun with your wardrobe this year.

Love all of this…I need to go shopping!
Can we go together? Maybe take a break from your New England blizzard and come visit 🙂
Those skirts are amazing. And those heels! Can those just be a requirement for life?? They’re so pretty, do I need a reason for splurging? 😉
They need to be a requirement for LIFE indeed!!! And it’s not splurging when you will be wearing them over and over …at least that’s how I justify it 🙂
That pink jacket is so pretty!! Hehe and I am always secretly in the market for more shoes and all these heels are super sexy! Love them!
Kelly I love the pink jacket too 🙂 And you know you always need a new pair of shoes!
I agree that jackets aren’t just for work. I like to wear them casually with jeans, as well. Great post, Zainab! 🙂
Love the boss lady style suggestions! I want those jackets 🙂
Thanks Ashley!
That ASOS jacket has my name written all over it. Ahh I love a good blazer!
I love blazers and you can’t go wrong with a good pencil skirt!
No never 🙂
Um that jacket is MAJOR. You know how I feel about blazers and jackets of all kind. Especially with angular zippers. I want it!!
Hahhah get it 🙂
Oooh! That linen blazer…so perfect for spring! Love the pencil skirts, too, and the shoes…of course! Loved this series, Z. I think you should continue with it for each New Year, at least, or each season or quarter! 🙂 Thank you for sharing, my friend. Have a great week ahead!
Love those skirts! And I’m not a big skirt person. AND I own that blazer! But in a different colour…it looks fabulous in the pink!
I have to buy that blazer too!
