Peach Blueberry Oatmeal Smoothie
A delicious breakfast smoothie filled with blueberries, peaches and no-refined sugar!
I have a confession. Sometimes the actual writing of blog posts is the hardest part of blogging for me. Wait who am I kidding, most times it is the hardest. Keeping up with you all on social media is a close second since I am so slow and techy challenged.ย I made this peach blueberry oatmeal smoothie over two weeks ago and I’ve had every intention of sharing it sooner but just couldn’t get to writing the post. Which is sad because it has nothing to do with the recipe. I am in love with this new easy on-the go breakfast smoothie.
When it comes to actually writing, I draw a blank.ย Maybe it’s because it’s always around 11pm that I am settling down to compose a post ๐ฎ Or it could be related to the kind of week that I’ve been having, who knows! ย I’ve been pulling 12 hour days all week long. But those have happened in the past, so we can’t put the blame entirely on that. So I guess it’s just writer’s block then and general struggles with writing. Oh well, for now I’ll slurp on more smoothies. I suggest you do the same ๐
I’m so in love with this peach blueberry oatmeal smoothie. Ripe and juicy peaches are the best part of the summer and I’ve been enjoying them like it’s my job. Putting oats in smoothies on the other hand is new to me. I had never put oats in my smoothie and boy is it a good idea. It makes the smoothie very filling and keeps you going longer in the morning. I’ve seriously made this smoothie at least three times in the past two weeks. I’m peechy-keen (sorry couldn’t resist lol!).
And when you do make this smoothie, please don’t spill it like I did. I was in a hurry that morning and spilled half of the smoothie as I tried taking a few photos before heading to work.ย Thank goodness I made more than enough because no one wants to start (or end) the week with spilled smoothie.

Yupppp, writing is sometimes one of the hardest parts! But you’re doing a fantastic job Zainab! I absolutely adore reading each one of your posts, and I’m sure that all of your readers think the same!
This smoothie looks glorious. Peach and blueberry is such a fab combo!
Happy Friday!
Aww thank you Consuelo!! I love reading your blog too. Always so fun ๐
I am with on writing the posts being the hardest part of writing. I love the recipe development, picture taking etc. But when it comes to the writing sometimes I don’t know what to say other than, “this was awesome, you have to try it”. This smoothie looks great too! I’ve never put oatmeal in my smoothies before. Gonna have to try it.
I feel like I can take pictures always ๐ And you know what, one of these days, I might just steal that line. This was really amazing (which it was!!) so try it. See how that works lol!
I’ve still yet to make an oatmeal smoothie. I have no idea what I’m waiting for. Love this variety though!
Have an amazing weekend!
Melanie you need to try one soon ๐ Hope you are having a great week!
I’m with you, Z! Esp when you don’t know exactly what to say. . writing is the hardest and the social media, well, just time consuming and exhausting. Dude, beautiful beautiful smoothie!!! looks so good!
Arghh, don’t get me started on the social media Alice lol! Let’s just say there is not enough time in the day ๐
Now that is one refreshing smoothie! Yummy!
I also really hate writing the recipe for some reasonโฆ., but that is because I am wicked lazy! Writing the post is always really difficult for me because I’ve never been a writer per say, and lately I haven’t had much to write about. Another blogger mentioned that she has trouble writing posts in the summer, too!
I just want to slurp this smoothie right up! You’re so lucky the glass didn’t break when you spilled!
You know you are so right!! The recipe annoys me and I leave it till last and why I always have typos there lol!
We’re on a breakfast smoothie kick over at ldbaking and this one has just been added to the list! Looks so delicious! And I hear ya, writing is the hardest part! At least you can snack on what you made while you write ๐
Snacking late night is the best lol! And it works with this smoothie ๐ Thanks Kelly!
I hear about the writers block, and yeah, Iโm right there with you at 11 pm trying to think of ANYTHING to put into my posts! I probably need more brain food like this gorgeous smoothie!!!
I hear ya on the writing part, Zainab. While I find the writing part to be the most enjoyable part of blogging, sometimes I don’t have anything to say. I’ve built my blog up to the point where I have something “important” to say in every post, so then I feel silly to simply publish a “look at how delicious this cake/cookie/pie is” post with nothing extra. Then I remind myself that I need to stop letting what I think people expect of me dictate what I do. Does that make sense? Anyways, I’m blabbering! I love this smoothie – it looks delicious AND healthy (I definitely need more of the latter in my life). And your photos are just gorgeous – that lighting is a dream! I’m sorry to hear about the 12 hour work days. I hope you get to relax this weekend!
Writing comes so easy to you and why I always love reading your posts!! Always so fun!! You always have great subjects and man I have no idea how you do it. I need to learn from you!! And yes, you do need to know that we will be there for the food too ๐ So just telling us how delicious a certain rum bundt cake is will be so so special. Can you tell I am fixated on that cake? I NEED to bake it to solve my troubles. PS: The 12 hours finally caught up with me and I am home exhausted and sick today. Couch day is just what I need ๐
I agree with you 100%! I really struggle with the writing part, mostly because I am not a creative writer at all and I’m pretty sure most people don’t want to hear me rambling about nothing. So I never know what to say. I always love reading your blog, Zainab! I mostly come here to drool over the delicious pictures, like this oatmeal smoothie!
Oh I wish sometimes I was a creative writer major in college, it would have come in handy now lol! Thanks Ashley!!
Gotta love a breakfast smoothie! I haven’t added oats to any of my yet, but now I must try it. Sometimes, there’s not much about blogging that I find easy ๐
I feel you!! Most things are challenging most days but U do love it and keep coming back ๐
You know my love for smoothies, right?! You bet I’ll try this one as soon I as buy fresh peaches ๐
Hhahah!! Do it soon!!
Totally with you girl… writing is the hardest part!! Which I think is so funny to me because thats what blogging is but I love it all none the less. Some days it comes easy and some days it is painfully dreadful to pull the words from my brain.
One thing you are amazing at is making food and taking photos cuz EVERY time I see a post my mouth just waters. This smoothie looks so refreshing, love the peach addition… perfect time of the year for it!
Krista I always love reading your blog. I know it’s always a great place for good writing and fun stories!! Thanks for your sweet comment ๐
Zainab, you are a kitchen rock-star! It’s the worst thing to do to come by your blog when I’m on a diet. Bleh. I want to eat everything, right now! Keep it up, girlfriend. I’ll just keep pinning them for later. ๐
Thank you Mariel!! I am not diet friendly most times ๐ But once you are done I am sure you will want to indulge ๐
I recently tried oats in a smoothie and it didn’t come out quite as I hoped. I was trying to copy a drink I recently had. I’m going to try yours now…my kids love smoothies! Sometimes I find the writing the hardest part too. I often put it off till late at night!
Oh Michelle I love oats in smoothies now. Hope you can convert once you try this! Have a great weekend ๐
Haha, I will totally spill it in your honor! I feel you, between the social media, and actually writing the post, blogging becomes very time consuming! Don’t worry, we all have those days (or weeks, it feels like) where nothing comes to mind. This oatmeal smoothie makes up for it because ohmygosh I love fresh peaches. Summer is amazing because of them. And smoothies. But especially your oatmeal smoothie! Pinned!
Nooo don’t spill!! This happened on a Monday morning too. Was not a great start to the week.
I hear you on the writing struggles. I’ve been meaning to post something since Thursday!! Still not up…whoops, guess I have some work to do! I love this smoothie – the oatmeal makes it so perfect for breakfast! Good luck with work – 12 hour days are no fun!
You know working FT doesn’t help our case dear!
I totally agree about the writing aspect of blogging — it’s hard when you’re head’s not in it and you’re tired or whatever. Sometimes I just want to throw up the photos and recipe and push publish! haha This smoothie looks delicious, and I’d love it for breakfast tomorrow! Pinning. ๐
I get writers block too. I’ve been trying to jot down or type ideas as I get tg so I don’t lose them! Cause I’ve had ideas before and have said “oh I’ll just type that later” only to forget what the idea was!
This smoothie looks great! If like to start my day with one of these. Pinned and sharing. Have a great week, Zainab!
Julie that is my problem too! I sometimes get ideas when I am driving or out and about but totally forget when I get down to writing. I will try jotting them down as they come. That’s a great idea. Thanks for sharing ๐
I’m totally with ya girl. I have so many pictures and posts that go way back to even Valentine’s Day that I haven’t had a chance to post yet hehe. I struggle with writing too since the only chance I get to write is late at night or in the wee morning hours and sometimes I’m too tired and end up passing out or one of the kiddos start crying *sigh*. I would never have guessed you struggle with writing since I think your writing is awesome and you are a rockstar in the kitchen ๐
I love this smoothie and wish it was my breakfast this morning ๐ Hope you had a wonderful weekend Z!
Kelly, the late at night is what is kidding me and I can only imagine how much more it’s harder for you with two kiddos ๐
I definitely have those writer’s block moments. Some days it seems like I have tons of ideas of what to write UNTIL the moment I sit down to actually do it. Total buzzkill.
I’m so glad you finally got around to sharing this though because I love some fruit smoothie inspiration in my mornings! Bonus because this has oatmeal mixed in!
Yup, writing the post is the hardest part for me too. I love baking, taking the pics and editing the pics but not writing! But I’m glad you shared your smoothie because it sounds fantastic!
Those are my favorite parts too!! I have a backlog of photographed recipes because I just can’t stop sometimes but then it gets hectic ti write and post them all lol!
This sounds so good & refreshing! I go in phases when making smoothies and I think it’s about time for another ‘smoothie phase’ in my life ;). Beautiful blog by the way!
I’m totally a phase kind of girl too and smoothies are my current things. Thanks!!
