Peach Blueberry Oatmeal Smoothie
A delicious breakfast smoothie filled with blueberries, peaches and no-refined sugar!
I have a confession. Sometimes the actual writing of blog posts is the hardest part of blogging for me. Wait who am I kidding, most times it is the hardest. Keeping up with you all on social media is a close second since I am so slow and techy challenged. I made this peach blueberry oatmeal smoothie over two weeks ago and I’ve had every intention of sharing it sooner but just couldn’t get to writing the post. Which is sad because it has nothing to do with the recipe. I am in love with this new easy on-the go breakfast smoothie.
When it comes to actually writing, I draw a blank. Maybe it’s because it’s always around 11pm that I am settling down to compose a post 😮 Or it could be related to the kind of week that I’ve been having, who knows! I’ve been pulling 12 hour days all week long. But those have happened in the past, so we can’t put the blame entirely on that. So I guess it’s just writer’s block then and general struggles with writing. Oh well, for now I’ll slurp on more smoothies. I suggest you do the same 🙂
I’m so in love with this peach blueberry oatmeal smoothie. Ripe and juicy peaches are the best part of the summer and I’ve been enjoying them like it’s my job. Putting oats in smoothies on the other hand is new to me. I had never put oats in my smoothie and boy is it a good idea. It makes the smoothie very filling and keeps you going longer in the morning. I’ve seriously made this smoothie at least three times in the past two weeks. I’m peechy-keen (sorry couldn’t resist lol!).
And when you do make this smoothie, please don’t spill it like I did. I was in a hurry that morning and spilled half of the smoothie as I tried taking a few photos before heading to work. Thank goodness I made more than enough because no one wants to start (or end) the week with spilled smoothie.

You know my love for smoothies, right?! You bet I’ll try this one as soon I as buy fresh peaches 😉
Hhahah!! Do it soon!!
Gotta love a breakfast smoothie! I haven’t added oats to any of my yet, but now I must try it. Sometimes, there’s not much about blogging that I find easy 😉
I feel you!! Most things are challenging most days but U do love it and keep coming back 😉
I agree with you 100%! I really struggle with the writing part, mostly because I am not a creative writer at all and I’m pretty sure most people don’t want to hear me rambling about nothing. So I never know what to say. I always love reading your blog, Zainab! I mostly come here to drool over the delicious pictures, like this oatmeal smoothie!
Oh I wish sometimes I was a creative writer major in college, it would have come in handy now lol! Thanks Ashley!!
I hear ya on the writing part, Zainab. While I find the writing part to be the most enjoyable part of blogging, sometimes I don’t have anything to say. I’ve built my blog up to the point where I have something “important” to say in every post, so then I feel silly to simply publish a “look at how delicious this cake/cookie/pie is” post with nothing extra. Then I remind myself that I need to stop letting what I think people expect of me dictate what I do. Does that make sense? Anyways, I’m blabbering! I love this smoothie – it looks delicious AND healthy (I definitely need more of the latter in my life). And your photos are just gorgeous – that lighting is a dream! I’m sorry to hear about the 12 hour work days. I hope you get to relax this weekend!
Writing comes so easy to you and why I always love reading your posts!! Always so fun!! You always have great subjects and man I have no idea how you do it. I need to learn from you!! And yes, you do need to know that we will be there for the food too 🙂 So just telling us how delicious a certain rum bundt cake is will be so so special. Can you tell I am fixated on that cake? I NEED to bake it to solve my troubles. PS: The 12 hours finally caught up with me and I am home exhausted and sick today. Couch day is just what I need 😉
I hear about the writers block, and yeah, I’m right there with you at 11 pm trying to think of ANYTHING to put into my posts! I probably need more brain food like this gorgeous smoothie!!!
We’re on a breakfast smoothie kick over at ldbaking and this one has just been added to the list! Looks so delicious! And I hear ya, writing is the hardest part! At least you can snack on what you made while you write 🙂
Snacking late night is the best lol! And it works with this smoothie 🙂 Thanks Kelly!
I also really hate writing the recipe for some reason…., but that is because I am wicked lazy! Writing the post is always really difficult for me because I’ve never been a writer per say, and lately I haven’t had much to write about. Another blogger mentioned that she has trouble writing posts in the summer, too!
I just want to slurp this smoothie right up! You’re so lucky the glass didn’t break when you spilled!
You know you are so right!! The recipe annoys me and I leave it till last and why I always have typos there lol!
Now that is one refreshing smoothie! Yummy!
I’m with you, Z! Esp when you don’t know exactly what to say. . writing is the hardest and the social media, well, just time consuming and exhausting. Dude, beautiful beautiful smoothie!!! looks so good!
Arghh, don’t get me started on the social media Alice lol! Let’s just say there is not enough time in the day 🙂
I’ve still yet to make an oatmeal smoothie. I have no idea what I’m waiting for. Love this variety though!
Have an amazing weekend!
Melanie you need to try one soon 🙂 Hope you are having a great week!
I am with on writing the posts being the hardest part of writing. I love the recipe development, picture taking etc. But when it comes to the writing sometimes I don’t know what to say other than, “this was awesome, you have to try it”. This smoothie looks great too! I’ve never put oatmeal in my smoothies before. Gonna have to try it.
I feel like I can take pictures always 🙂 And you know what, one of these days, I might just steal that line. This was really amazing (which it was!!) so try it. See how that works lol!
Yupppp, writing is sometimes one of the hardest parts! But you’re doing a fantastic job Zainab! I absolutely adore reading each one of your posts, and I’m sure that all of your readers think the same!
This smoothie looks glorious. Peach and blueberry is such a fab combo!
Happy Friday!
Aww thank you Consuelo!! I love reading your blog too. Always so fun 🙂
