Healthy Blueberry Smoothie
Healthy Blueberry Smoothie
Hi friends! It’s been a while since I shared a smoothie recipe around here. This vibrant, healthy blueberry smoothie is a new favorite that blends a flavor combo that is just dear to my heart.
Blueberry coconut is a theme around here. From blueberry coconut layer cakes to blueberry coconut popsicles, the juicy berries with tropical creamy coconut is just a blissful combination. If you haven’t tried it yet, please do! You will not regret it.
Ok, to this Healthy Blueberry Smoothie! Is there anything more simple than tossing a bunch of ingredients into a blender, blending until smooth, and serving? I can’t think of anything besides something pre-packaged, which I try to stay away from.
Let’s face it, mornings are tough for all of us, adulting and multi-tasking by 8 am. So make it easier on yourself and serve up a healthy and delicious breakfast for the whole family in the blink of an eye.
I do this even though I am no longer commuting but can get to my desk with a rich, delicious smoothie I will nurse for the early morning meetings.
Are Blueberry Smoothies Good for You?
Blueberries are super healthy and tasty, and this blueberry banana smoothie is filled with them! They are full of antioxidants and improve brain function, memory, heart health, and aging. The last one is probably the most important one to all the mamas out there running on 2 hours of sleep and trying to cover up our under-eye bags.
They are super tasty too :-).
Blueberry Coconut Smoothie
This Blueberry Coconut Milk Smoothie also has added hemp hearts which might sound like a random addition to your smoothie, but I assure you, it is just what this healthy breakfast needs. The flavor is not overpowering, but it adds another layer of heart health to this already healthy smoothie.
You can also add in your favorite protein powder or chia seeds for some added protein.
Is Coconut Good for you in Smoothies?
Coconut is great for smoothies. It adds healthy fat and creaminess to your smoothie. It has a delicious coconut flavor. You can add coconut milk, coconut cream, coconut flakes, and even coconut oil to your smoothies.
I love adding shredded coconut, chia seeds, flax seeds, and honey; the world is your oyster. I just give you the base recipe to spice up however you want.
This smoothie is also great for a midday snack when most foods are too heavy and make you want to take a midday nap; this will give you a boost of energy to finish your day strong.

How to Make a Healthy Blueberry Smoothie
Making this blueberry banana smoothie is easy!

Top smoothie with fresh blueberries and shredded coconut. Enjoy!
Blueberry Smoothie Bowls
Can I turn a smoothie into a smoothie bowl? Yes, you can turn this blueberry smoothie into a yummy blueberry smoothie bowl by serving it in a bowl instead of a glass and topping it with some extra coconut flakes and blueberries and anything else you want to add like chia seeds, cacao nibs, etc.
What is the difference between Coconut Milk and Coconut Cream?
Coconut cream is the cream that rises to the top of a can of coconut milk when you refrigerate it. You can also purchase cartons of just coconut cream. Coconut milk is thinner, and coconut cream is thick and creamy.
